Friendly express 77 - gas ripoff

Supposedly the store manager set the gas pump for $20.00 worth of gas. When fueling up the amount jumped from $9.00 to $20.00. I drove around the lot to see if the gas gauge would move up to the proportion of gas pumped. The gauge indicated I had approximately a 1/4 of tank of gas.

I went in and reported this incident and the cashier stated the manager had left for the day (How convenient, it was less tha 5 minutes ago that I paid her) and refused to refund the $10.00.

I happened to be on my way to the Columbia South Carolina airport in an economy car that held only 10 gallons of gas.

From Darien to the airport I pumped $44 to fill up the tank.

It seems like a nice little racket this proprietor has going on. This will be reported to the State Attorney Generals Office and other regulatory bureaus.
