Ripoff - sub-standard product, failure to issue a refund for merchandise returned March 3, '02

3 Automobile ceramic heaters ordere December 13. Cost: $36.00 3.95 S&H. Rec'd late January. Proved to be ineffective and 2 were returnd on March 3.

Follow-up letter sent to attempt to get $24.00 refund for the 2 heaters. Call made to J.D. Marvel on May 22 and I found that they are Canadian and have a P.O. Box in Champlain, NY to give illusion of being a U.S. Company!

Call to Canada cost $5.72 for 11 minutes and I was told that the refund check was sent on May 20. As of this date, June 3, I have not received my refund.

Local newspaper had an article telling of this website and the 'J.D. Marvel' problem and also listed Wisconsin Dept. Of Agriculture, Trade & Consumer Protection enlisting the Wisconsin Department of Justice actions against J.D. Marvel Products. I am pursuing my complaint thur these state agencies.
