SmartPak VERY unprofessional, ILLEGAL business practices. Scam! Ripoff

SmartPak released a coupon online allowing new customers who'd like to try their service to receive $75 off their first order of SmartPak pet food products for cats or dogs, pay only $6.95 shipping.

It was apparently too successful, and instead of cancelling the orders like a professional company who stays within the law would handle it, they simply charged every customer who took advantage of the promotion FULL PRICE.

I ordered some dog food to try their service and used the $75 off coupon. The order total screen said $6.95. I submitted my credit card information, and they sent an email confirmation showing a total of $75 worth of SmartPak food being ordered, plus $6.95 shipping, for a total charge of $6.95.

The next day I checked my credit card online, and they had charged me $80. I was stunned.

I had to call my credit card company to file a dispute.

Checking some online forums, it looks like I wasn't the only one stung here. Dozens of people have reported to have been involved in this company's misleading rip off 'promotion'.

Beware, if SmartPak Canine.com will purposely and illegally SCAM you in this manner, imagine how other aspects of their business is run. I could only imagine how difficult it would be to return something or get legitimate customer service with this company.

I hope a lawyer gets together a class action to really sting SmartPak Company.
