Bait & switch - breach of contract

Be careful of doing business with this company. They tried the BAIT & SWITCH with me. AFTER recieving a quote and signing a contract for a stated move cost, I received the following email message TWO WEEKS BEFORE my scheduled move:

From: "Bryan Brukwicki"
Subject: Contract.
Date: Thu, 20 Jul 13:37: 52 0000

I'm very sorry to tell you this but it slipped through the cracks in our operations dept on the contract. And it's all my fault. They now will not accept the contract do to mess up on the move price. The normal price on 22FT is $3,271, I did yours at $2,553.00 they will not accept this.

The best I can do to make up for this error on my part is to do the move at 22FT $2,944.00

This is the best brake I can do. Again I'm deeply sorry for the error I made.

Please advise on what to do next.

When I explained that I suspected the company of being in breach of contract and that I would consult with my attorny, this is the response I received:

Of course, not only did I not WANT to pay more, I can't afford to pay more. Now with only two weeks left before I move, I am left scrambling to find a new mover within my budget. What a RIPOFF!!!
