Global Moving
Scam, did not show up, did not call, refuses to speak with me, ripoff

I arranged a contract with Global Moving (AKA Global Moving Express) several weeks in advance of my move from the Washington, D.C. Area to Atlanta, GA. I had spoken with representatives from the company several times regarding my contract and confirmed the pick-up 5 days before with the head dispatcher.

The day of my move, nothing happened. No truck ever showed up, no one ever called me, no one returned the calls I placed or the messages I left. I was forced to find another moving company the day of the move (which was another nightmare in and of itself). I repeatedly called them and either got no answer or was told the person I needed to speak with was not available.

8 days later, I received a call during brunch to inform me that a "delivery" was on its way. After speaking with the caller to clarify what he meant, I realized a truck was on its way to my old apartment, a week, a day, and 3 hours late. The caller seemed more upset that I had used another company than interested in apologizing that they'd never shown up for my pick-up.

Now, nearly a month after the move, I finally was put on the line with someone who could handle my concern. After explaining to him that I was upset about the fact that there was a breach of contract and I wanted to be compensated for the additional cost of the same day move, I told him that I had spoken with a lawyer and was advised that I could sue them for the full cost of the move, along with my time and the pain of finding a new mover same day. His response: "Well, do it" and he hung up on me.

For your sanity, never use them!!
