SCAM RIPOFF unexpectedly disconnected my DSL 3 Months from end of contract Charged early termination fee unless we sign up with them for another year! Aurora

Att turned off my DSL service by accident! 3 months short of my 1 years contract with them. Even when I made it perfectly clear to them, they said the only way to save yourself from paying the early termination fee is to sign up with us again for another year. They said there is no other way. We are so sorry but this is all we can do about it! The indian people who att farms out too have a manual of answers to give you and when the page runs out there are no more answers for you and they can not let you speak to any one higher than thier manager who doesn't know what to say either so they put me on hold for 35 minutes trying to get me off the phone with them. 5 times in a row I tried to resolve this issue.

There is no place to go in person and so they figure you will just drop it and they will put it on your credit report or that you will pay it just to avoid the trouble. They don't mind telling you that they have no other answers for you. This is a scam to intimidate people into signing for another year. They said we sent you an email that we were canceling your DSL you had 24 hours to respond to it. But I did not see the email in time and so there is thier loophole for them! I have been with them for years so I canceled everything I had going with them. They don't care because if they can do this to 1 million people that will get them about 200 million dollars. They're not concerned with the people who pay for thier services.
