In 1997 my husband and I started a delivery service and depend on cellphones for driver communications. At first the phones were in my name, as we grew I added more phones and put them in the business name. The nextel rep that set up my contract promised me the world. I asked him if I needed to do anything about transfering the phones from my name to the business he said no he would take care of everything.

WEll he didn't. When I got my billing for the frist month in the business name I about had a heart attack. The phones in my name were not transferd into business and the rate i was told I would get was $99.00 a month unlimited, but thats not what was on my bill. So the bills in my name and business was astronoical.

I called the rep he stated that there was a back log but by my next billing things would be straightened out. Well guess what? Yep you guessed it they were still billing me for me and business. I made 4 trips to Iowa to talk to the rep and got nowhere.

It took nine months and 6 different people at nextel to get things right. During the nine months I was advised not to pay on the phones until everything was worked out. Finally, things got settled and I agreed to pay $2,500 a month on the business bill till it was paid in full. I kept my agreement but they didn't they shut my phones off for a past due amount.

First of all if the nextel bozo's knew what the other was doing it wouldn't have taken so long to get it right wih the double billing.

I lost out of $1,200.00 of revenue fro something that wasn't my fault. And by the way the rep that made all the promises was fired as a rep and had to pay nextel for the amounts that they had to right off on my account.
