Ripoff Deceptive Billing and Lies about 15 day trial Reston Virginia

Without going into a lot of specifics. I called Nextel's telephone sales department. I asked about the 15 day trial. The sales person said we can ship you 2 i60 phones for 15 days free. Return them before the 15 days and it will cost nothing! They shipped the phones 4 days late.

We tried the phones, but the service was very weak. I called the 800 639-6111 number back and told customer service I wanted to send the phones back and take the phones out of service.

No problem they said. They gave me the address in California to ship them back - at my expense! I shipped the phones back before the 15 days were up.

Yesterday, I received a bill from Nextel for $278.18!!! I spent 5 hours in and off the phone with customer service trying to get the bill reduced to zero. When I agreed to the 15 day trial nothing was said about charging a re-stocking charge for returning the phones, plus $12.00 tax on the stocking charge, plus charging for the few minutes we used to try the phones out.

The customer service department transfers you around until you get disconnected and have to call back and start all over! I finally talked to a supervisor today - he was hard to understand because of his broken English. He refused to zero the account out. I told him that I have filled out a complaint form to the FCC and Attorney Generals Office and intend on filing a lawsuit if I have to get them to take care of it. His comment then was, "Well we have nothing else to talk about." Believe me, I intend to go after Nextel!

They should not be allowed to sell anything in any state. BE AWARE don't sign up with NEXTEL!!!
