Fastrip
Retail store - fastrip loses daily three winning ticket, winner must wait half year to get prize ripoff

Shops, Products, Services

On 8th July I went to check my FantasyFive, and DailyThree tickets at the retailer (Faststrip) from which I bought them.

The Cashier checked with her supervisor after advising me I had won $800.00, I was told by the cashier they did not have any claim forms, and advised going to RiteAid for the required forms.

The Cashier handed back three CA Lottery print-outs/tickets:
1. FantasyFive ticket with print-out across it which reads (Cashed 08. Jul. 06 12:59: 01,0676159).. I have never seen that on a cashed ticket for a replay??? (See Attachment #1)
2. FantasyFive ticket with two replays. (See Attachment #2).
3. And a CLAIM DLY3 ticket indicating the amount of $807.00. (See Attachment #3).
The Cashier explicitly stated to file what she called the receipt (CLAIM DLY3) with the claim form, when I get it.

By the initial look at the cashed FantasyFive ticket I was under the initial impression I had won the funds from FantasyFive.

After giving the CLAIM DLY3 ticket a better look at the other print around the $807.00, I realized I had actually won the DailyThree, and not the FantasyFive, and the Cashier had cancelled and given back the wrong ticket indicated by the Cashed print out.

I returned to the Retailer the next day (Sunday 9th) to collect my ticket, and was told the Manager would not be available until Monday.

On 10th July Monday morning, I discussed the problem with the Manager that worked with the Cashier that had given me the receipt/ticket (CLAIM DLY3).

The Manager stated their was nothing he could do, and advised I speak with the owner at noon, at noon I returned to the store again to find the Manager nor the Owner of the retail store were present or accounted for.

I contacted The Ca. Lottery Security Center and spoke to a person that could not seem to understand what had actually happen, and basically stated it was impossible for the Retail Cashier to have printed out (Cashed 08. Jul. 06 12:59: 01,0676159) on the wrong ticket, but there it is. (See Attachment #1)

The Ca. Lottery Security Representative had indicated I could file my claim with only the CLAIM DLY3 ticket, but I would be looking at not getting paid for six months.

It is an outrage that I have to wait half a YEAR the first thing I ever won in my life due to the retail stores ineptitude!
