Ripoff charged for disconnect fees never signed a contract with them

I October I got sick and was laid up on home care thru Medicare and could not work. I lost my job in December and had no income to speak of, except Medicare and small retirement income. I cancelled my account with Alltel in Feb.

I have never signed a contract with this company after using it for years for my cell phone account.

They keep calling me and I ha ve explained that I do not have any income and cannot pay the disconnect fee of $456.13.

There was never a contract signed with this company. Why don't they let me alone. I always made payments on time and ne ver had any problems with them.

Thank you for listening to me. They seem to want to pick on people that are handicapped like me.
