Ripoff, rude, unprofessional, unreliable, cannot accept responsibility

To begin with, we all know that planning a wedding is stressful. We shouldn't have to worry about the people who are supposed to be able to help us, mess things up and make us more stressed and angry.

Sugar and Spice Bridal in Indianapolis messed up just about everything they could. First, they ordered the wrong size flowergirl dress and when it finally came in (10 weeks after we ordered it), it was to late to order another one because it was already discontinued. So we had to order a completely different dress.

Second, we ordered a bridesmaid dress on April 15 for a July 15 wedding and they told us that we would need to pay $50 for rush order. So we did without question.

I went to a different bridal store and ordered the exact same dress 2 weeks after we ordered the first one and it came in 2 weeks after we ordered it. I called Sugar and Spice and asked them why to first dress hadn't come in yet and they blamed it on the dress maker and said they had a new shipping policy. They continued to say that they would call the dress maker (Eden Bridals) to confirm the delivery date and they would call me back.

A week later when they still hadn't called me back I called them. They still had no information to give me and acted like I was bothering them whenever I would call. The dress finally came in June 27, almost 11 weeks after we ordered and only two weeks before the wedding, and we still needed to have alterations made.

Third, we ordered my gown and had to pay a rush order for it as well. The dress came in 7 weeks later and it was HUGE. They had ordered the wrong size. The dress was a size 16 and it needed it a size 10. They told me that it was my fault and the dress was the size I ordered. They told me that it would be $250 to alter the dress.

They were very rude and acted like they didn't even want to help me resolve the situation. They really need to work on their customer. So, after paying almost $800 for the dress they were going to charge us more for alterations after they were the ones that ordered the wrong size to begin with.

We ended up not getting alterations done through them because we didn't want anything else to go wrong. The place we went did the alterations for $150 cheaper and the dress fits great.

Sugar and Spice is always really quick to pass blame off on anyone but themselves. They have no customer service skills, and I would not recommend it to anyone. I wish I would have known about this site before I had to have the inconvenience of dealing with Sugar and Spice.
