Sharp billing practice, change of terms, no notification ripoff Texas

1) Please be careful to turn off the "auto-renew" option if you don't want to billed forever by match.com. You have to change this from the default of "auto-renew" after you have joined and paid your first membership fee.

2) After renewing my membership to international. Match.com I was surprised to find that the membership I "bought" this time was not the same as the one which had just expired. The new policy they have is that both the sender and recipient of an email must be subscribers to read emails that are received. This is different to the earlier policy but no notification was given to me about the change before I renewed. Of course!

If I'd known I wouldn't have renewed would I? My guess is that out of 10 emails sent to a female on the site, about 1 in 10 will get a reply. However with the new policy, about 9 out of 10 of your emails WILL NOT EVEN GET READ! Therefore I would say joining match (speaking as a guy) is basically a waste of money.
