Sold car to me before they owned it = no title

After getting the contact to use Auto Match to buy a car through our membership in Direct Buy, we researched Auto Match and found they were BBB members, apparently in good standing. We contacted them, explained what kind of car we were looking for, etc.

In January they found a car in PA at auction, got the car, we paid for the car in full (bad move!), received the car about 2 weeks later, but since Auto Match never actually paid the auction company for the car, they never received the title.

After months of phone calls and excuses, it came to light that they didn't have enough money to pay for the cars (other people are in the same boat), we filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles in April.

Auto Match is now closed down, at least in Florida, and being prosecuted and investigated by the FBI.

There is also an Auto Match in Denver, CO - these are the same people! Do not contact them, use them, believe them.
