BUYER BEWARE Just because it says "Pay Pal" does NOT guarentee ANYTHING! Nationwide

Last month I signed up to become a first-time E Bay user. I was looking for G-5 Ping club for my husband's birthday and thought it would be "safe" to buy one on E Bay. I thought since millions of people deal with E Bay every day that it would not be a problem.

WRONG! I found a club and the price was great. The only method of payment the seller would accept was Pay Pal. I provided my credit card info and the charge was made (almost immediately). That was on May 3rd. Delivery was 3-5 days. On May 10th I still had not received anything so I E-mailed the seller, "OLDETIMER". He (Jason) assured me the club had been sent and offered to send me a copy of the shipping receipt. I asked him to do that. On May 13th, I still had no club and no shipping receipt. I E-mailed Oldetimer back and got no response.

On May 15th I submitted a complaint through Pay Pal at "My Pay Pal" account. They decided in my favor (no brainer) and credited my credit card account $175. The total charge was $229.95! They claim they DO NOT GUARENTEE 100% reimbursement for items purchased through Pay Pal! They said they were trying to collect the balance from the seller, but there were not enough funds to cover the additional $54.95 that was originally charged.

I have sent a letter to my credit card company disputing the charge and claiming this to be fraud.in my opinion, it is. I haven't heard anything from Pay Pal since the $175 credit. I did receive a letter from my credit card company saying they were investigating the charge and the $54.95 would be exempt from finance charges.

BEWARE WHEN ORDERING FROM E BAY WITH PAY PAL! I found out the hard way. I will never order anything from E Bay again. Don't let the same thing happen to you.
