Phone fails to ring or call out despite full signal

I've been complaining to Verizon for about a year now that my cell phone doesn't always ring when a call comes in, instead it will go to voicemail. This happens on a regular basis, and it happens when it shows a FULL SIGNAL.

Then it may not let me know there's a voicemail sometimes for hours, sometimes right after they leave the message it will show there's a message.

As if that's not enough, then it won't let me call voicemail to get the message, now remember this is all while showing that I have a FULL SIGNAL.

I understand that sometimes cell phones aren't all that perfect but I really and truly hate this phone and all I have asked for is an early upgrade to try a different phone so I can find out if it's the phone or the service.

By the way this is an LG phone and they are next on my list if this doesn't resolve anything. My next phone will not be an LG.

I even pay the $5 a month for insurance but after paying them about $90 over the last 18 months why would I want to pay another $50 just to end up getting the same model of phone that I hate, besides my mom had the same model and it had to be replaced too.
