Ripoff they think they are the government

I just had an incident with correctional billing services (evercom). Unforunately we had to use this company because of an incident that happened. We were never informed of their rules and regulations.
They bill your calls with a third party system.
We exceeded a limit, (which we were not informed of in the first place. We paid our local phone co. Per evercom's instructions. And they blocked the incoming calls again.

When we called to straighten it out, they wanted us to pay them the amount we already paid to straithen out the situation from the beginning. We told them that it was illegal to charge us for something we already paid. We also told her we would contacting the attorney general's office in michigan, because clearly what they did was not leagal.

Also, they tack on taxes that they don't tell you about.
Oh, and one more thing, all this happened because someone didn't do their job. When i spoke with a rep. From there, she sid she has reported a this particular person so many times for not doing his job, that she has given up.

So here is my warning!!! If you ever have a person that you know incarerated, beware!!! Of how evercom will hold you hostage!!! They know that you are under stress and they clearly take advantage of the situation!!!

They miss bill, over bill and then try to explain it away. Well, i'm am not going away and they will be hearing from my state regulators, attornrey general's office and who ever else i can call, and my attorney if it comes to that. More people need to stand up to them, they are even worse then dealing with the regular phone co.
