Ripoff don't bother bundling" any services!

I talked to a bellsouth representative about "bundling" my services with them to save money. At that current time I had a landline with bellsouth and cingular wireless. The only change I was really making was adding dsl.

I was paying $46.11 for earthlink's dsl, and considered it to be a high bill. So the bellsouth representative worked up a plan that would "save" me money. My total monthly bills for all 3 services (dsl, landline, and wireless) was $160.

My first bill from bellsouth for all 3 services was $222.12. I called and complained and went through 2 representatives without ANY customer service, before getting a real explanation from a 3rd representative.

Turns out they increased my landline bill from $38 to $60/month to save me money. I guess it takes a rocket scientist to figure out that $60 is greater than $38. After their many, many extra charges, (which are inexplainable to me... WHERE do they come up with all that crap???) the dsl was actually more than earthlink, and doesn't work as quickly.

They did eventually correct the local landline service, and explained that cingular had charged for a month and a half of service. This 48 days of service was no where on the bill, and I had not realized I had gone that long without a cingular bill.

They could have had the courtesy to give me a warning that my bill would be coming with 48 days worth of billing, instead of 30. I suppose just writing it in on the bill instead of "monthly" services would have sufficed, so as to not give me a heart attack.

So overall, they have taken care of the problem. But I have only INCREASED my bills in an attempt to lower them with "bundling." I wouldn't advise that anyone else try to do so.
