INEPTITUDE, cancelled my service in November. They say they have no record of that. POOR customer service promissing things that they could not deliver. I still had to pay the service charge. I got a past due notice forwarded to me in march, ripofff!

I had problems with Dish Network from the very beginning. They kept promising 4me things that they could not deliver. I had to still pay for the service call even though they could NOT do what the customer service promised me. This happened at least two times.

The last time, I decided to not use them any longer. Due to the early termination charges, I decided to lower my service to the lowest level and continue until October. My payments were set up on banks automatic payment schedule so I never paid attention to bills.

Somehow they had the wrong mailing address on my account. It was my name and my zipcode and an address in Ocala Florida. I have no idea where that address came from.

I called to cancel my service in November. They say they have not record of that cancellation. I do not remember the details of my cancellation. I evidently had a credit balance so there was no problem or contact until March.

I then received a forwarded letter from someone. I do NOT know from whom. It was an overdue letter. I called them and told them I had cancelled and had not used their service since Feb. 2005 but kept paying for it because I did not want to pay the early termination fee.

The account manager was impossible and would not listen to me. He kept reading his script and telling me that they would cancel the charges if I would resume the service. I kept telling him that I would not restart the service.

He said he talked to his supervisor and he said they would either drop late fees if I resumed service or take off half of the charges otherwise. I agreed to having half of charges reduced.

I called back the next day and the automated answer system said I had been cancelled due to NON PAYMENT. The balance they had for me was NOT what we had agreed on the night before. It was considerably less. (2.23 instead of 29.00) That was not the point.

I had other incidents with their customer support promising me service that the technician that came to the house could NOT do. I still had to pay the over 100.00 dollar service fee or they would shut me down.

There were other incidents as above. I am upset with the way I was treated and the fact have me listed "delinquent" and cancelled for NON PAYMENT.

They need to get their act together.
