Lean Life PM - debit card ripoff

Shops, Products, Services

I received an e-mail stating that I could try Hoodia for 14 days for just the cost of shipping, $5.95, so I ordered the product for my teenage son. I was billed the $5.95 on my account on the 2/13/06, but did not get the product in the mail until 2/27/06. I saw on 2/24/06 that I had a pending charge in the amount of $99.90 that was going to hit my account on 2/28/06.

I called the number listed on my bank account since I still had not received the product and left them a message (no one has EVER answered my calls to date) that they had better take the charges off since my 14 day grace period had not expired as I had not received the product.

The scam is that they don't send the product until the 14 days is expired therefore not allowing you the chance to cancel. I have called them about 5 times a day for the last 4 days and I filed a report with the BBB, case # 22023408, today.

I called my bank and I have to file a report with them and have had to close my account and turn off my debit card which is a big hassle since I have automatic bill pay.

More and more I am learning NEVER to do any transactions on line or by phone because there are always hidden charges that these companies fail to disclose.
