USBI - OAN ripoff is a crooked scam company! They are attached to junk emails and bill your home phone bill without your permission!

Last month, Jan 06, I recieved my local, home line telephone bill thru Century Tel and noticed a charge of $13.22 from a OAN SERVICES, INC. For what it calls residential voice mail. I called Century Tel, and got no help at all from them, just the info that it was a third party billing company. I called this OAN SERVICES, INC. And got ahold a the rudest customer "NO" service rep I have every spoken too! He stated that service started when I apparntly opened an email for "$100 in free groceries" or a simular email. He said when you open email, it automaticly gathers your info, and signs you up for there services. I asked him whats the service and he said, residental voice mail. I asked him how I use the so called voice mail and he said he didnt know. I asked him to cancel this service ASAP and refund my moneys. He said he would. That consider it canceled and I will be credited on next bill! I had a question about them having my personal info, so I asked to talk to his supervisor, he flat said "NO"! He said that they get over 1000 calls a day about this same thing.

I asked for a number to his main office, he said he cant give that info out! I finally asked for his name, and he said none of my business and hung up on me. Since that call, I have tried to call numerous times, always get disconected on. Well, I just recieved feb 06 phone bill from Century Tel, and again, $13.22 from OAN SERVICES, INC., again I tried to call but was disconnected. Called Century Tel, more of same, cant help me! Just an assumption, but I bet somehow they are affilated! I just filed with BBB.com and noticed alot of people are being scamed by them! I also tonight will be filing complant with the FCC and FTC and the next step if no help from them, my attorney general!

Has anyone else out there had this problem, or had it fixed that can help me. I dont want to unhook my home phone, because I live in a small town, with only one carrier, Century Tel!
