Ripoff Unautherized Charges Telephone

Upon getting ready to pay my SBC phone bill I noticed I had a charge for $16.52 from Enhanced Billing Services, Inc on o1-17-06
For My Info Guard Vmail Id Theft Mo Fee $14.95
Taxes $1.50 New Service provided and billing.

When I called SBC about this the representative informed me that I would have to contact the company that biling me for this.

That was Enhanced Billing Services, Inc# where you call the number and you have to enter your phone number and they transfer you to the party that truely charged you. This was My Info guard. The women there informed me that my gave me my daughter's name who also has a different last name then myself and, her hot mail address. She could not tell me my home address. She told me my daughter was the person to authorize this. She is an adult and has no knowledge of autherizing it or ever hearing of this service. I am told it is an 800 voice mail number that you give to people that that can call and leave you messages at and you retrieve them from the same number, whatever number that is we don't know. What I do know is that my daughter has a cell phone with voice mail. The woman I spoke to at My Info space did state I will be credited for the charge. What I'd really like to know is why SBC would put this charge on my bill in the name of someone completly different then my own in the first place. My warning is watch your phone bill and guard your info yourself especially your phone number.
