I am new to Arizona and having some free time before starting my new job responded to an ad I heard on a favorite radio station. It was Starbizz Kids, the recruiter of child talent, advertising their role in the selection of "Gerber" babies. Since I had nothing planned for the next few days, I decided to give it a shot!

Like all of you, I made an appointment to bring in my fifteen month old son to be evaluated. The interview did really only last about 3 minutes! Melette asked me to seat my son in the chair and she took his photo. She handed me a little booklet instructing me to call back after about two hours for the results of our interview. I called back and I was asked for a good number where Melette could reach me because she was busy on the other line.

When she personally returned my call, she told me how absolutely adorable my son was and that he was selected for the catalog! I felt surprised since we had shown up there by chance and out of total boredom but was excited to hear that my little man had "it"! We scheduled an appointment for the next day so that we could go over the terms and conditions and I was instructed to have the photo shoot money ($685.00) with me when I returned. She assured me that she could keep my son "very busy locally".

I also checked this place out on the Better Business Bureau website. There is no indication there that this could be a shady deal. Having no experience on these child talent matters, I decided to do various searches on the net and not only go by the Starbizz website. Thank goodness I was lucky enough to get to read the stories posted by those kind enough to warn us about the fraud and rip-offs! I've always heard it said that if a place like this asks for money up front, be skeptical. I did not ever go back to the office after reading the reports. I'm very fortunate that I actually listened to my inner voice and to all of you! BEWARE Scottsdale & all of this information has to be more than just mere coinsidence.
