This place is a scheme...

I went to the LA Weightloss center last night in Arvada, CO. The program seemed really good. Which it always does from a salespersons perspective. They guaranteed that I would get more energy, feel better about myself and lose weight affordably, so I signed up. The program ended up being $785 without the LA Lites bars which are $28/week. I was supposed to be on the program for a total of 84 weeks according to them, which would have cost me $2352.00. Not affordable!!! Also, they didn't even look at my body profile. I'm 193 lbs with clothes and shoes, and wanted to lose 40lbs. They asked no questions. What if I was 140lbs at 5'8" and wanted to lose 40lbs, would that really be realistic or safe for my body? Also they don't promote an exercise which I thought was very strange.

Today I called to cancel, not even 24 hours later and they informed me that I could cancel but I needed a written statement from my physician on why I couldn't do the program, and if I had that, they would give me back only $50 of the $200 I put down because of their non-refundable set up fee and enrollment fee of $149. They probably haven't even put me in the system yet. This place is a horrible scheme that's not affordable and when you go for your free no obligation consultation, that's not what you get. The lady told me if you leave here tonight not enrolling your only taking 10 steps backwards to become more overweight. That made me feel really bad, and the pressure of paying was bad too. She did everything she could to get me more payments so I'd join. I felt like I was at a car dealership.

Please don't fall for this companies schemes and lies. If you want to lose weight go online. There are a lot of resources for free as I found out a little too late.
