Ripoff Will Not Honor Warranty Repai

A couch I purchased from Levitz in May now has a small seperation of fabric on one of the legs. The seperation is only about 2 inches in size. The threading has unravelled.

I purchased a 7 year warranty through Stainsafe and called them to enter a claim.

When the actual unravelling took place, I can not say. However I did notice the seperation on Sunday, Jan 22. On Monday the 23rd, I called Stainsafe and placed my claim.

Because I do not know the actual date the seperation occurred they have denied my claim. They said they only warrant a claim that has been opened within 5 days of the accident occurring. I told them that the incident must of taken place on Sunday then because I didn't notice it before then. No - claim denied because I can not prove the unravelling took place on that day.

For that matter they can't prove that it didn't. I asked to be escallated to a supervisor who confirmed the samething. I asked what do I do with my useless warranty and was told that they would honor legitamite claims in the future.

This is not a serious issue in regards to the MANY other posts I have seen which is what causes me my concern. I put good money down on a 7 year warranty and if they can deny this little thing, how do I know they will honor anything BIG that may happen within the next 3 years.

I am disgusted at this company and Levitz. Levitz has dropped them so they will not act on anyone's behalf. They also will not refund my money. Honestly, no one will refund my money on a warranty contract that is not being fulfilled?

Buyers beware and be sure you your report the "incident" as occuring the day before or the day of that your calling in your claim so you don't get this B.S. Run around.
