Deceptive marketing practice

I was contacted at work about a year ago. The person calling asked to speak to a manager (which is me). She told me that they were contacting area managers and business owners and such to offer free magazines. The deal was that I would only have to pay postage and promise to pass them around when I was finished with them. Well, I agreed to this since I like to read magazines and spend about 25.00 per month anyhow. Well after spending 150.00 for six months I should have been through and got another bill stating that I owed them $700.00!!!
I called them and asked them if this was a mistake, why would I agree to pay almost $1000.00 for "free magazines". She said that I did agree to this and that they have a tape recording of this agreement. Well, I told her I would not give them another dime and have been bombarded with phone calls (which I never answer, caller ID) and collection notices. I sent the last one back telling them that they should save their postage because I will never give them another dime. I hope that they get whats coming to them! Please don't get scammed and If you do refuse to pay them, they are nothing more than criminals!
