Ripoff Beware of whats hidden in the contract

I have a business and decide to got with Nextel because of the direct connect. I sign my contracts for my two lines. I was getting charge $9.99 per a phone. The charge read telnav.

I called one day after ten months of service. I asked what this telnav was and wasa told it was a GPS system. I asked why do I have it. My phones do not have GPS. I was told my Nextel that everyone gets it. I asked if I had ever used it and the lady informed me that I have not. She says that you have to activate it to be able to use it. I asked for my money back and they would not refund me $400.00 that I was overcharged with. She said its in my contract. I asked for her to send me the contract. She stated that is against policy to do that.

I asked for her to take it off and she did but said they could not refund my money or give a credit. I asked why because I felt that I was getting rip off. I found my contract and I did not say that I agree to it until I found on the 4th page in small writing that we charge for this service but you must activate it.

Why would a company charge you for a service that you must activate? The way I see it it should of been activated the day my phone was activated. I think legal that since my phone was activated I should of been able to use this GPS system.

Needless to say just beware of what your cell phone carriers are charging you for and on my statement its listed under federal taxes.

I just want other Nextel users to beware that you could be saving up to $120.00 a year per a phone line, if you were not aware of this or do not use GPS.

I feel that I and problay many others were taken advantage of and not to mention the taxes that you paid on that serivce.
