I've never lived in Ct. That didn't matter. Still hounding me for money. Ripoff

In 1999, I worked for a company in Little Rock Ar. And I traveled all over the country doing furniture sales. I am from the south and have only lived in the north once in my life, and that is when I was born.

Someone, somehow stole my social security number and now the gas company is hounding me for the money..

I found out the name of the landlord and spoke to him and he went and talked to yankee gas and told them that he knew it was not me that had run that bill up to 1800 dollars. They said they didn't care who had done it, they just wanted their money.

I have tried for 4 years to get this out of the credit bureau with no luck at all.

They said if I could prove where I lived in 1999, that they would absolve the debt, but I can't because I travelled for 8 years.

I believe that there should be some way to make these people pay for ruining my credit.
