Dish Network A Division Of Echostar Satellite ripoff They fraudulently used my debit card to take $746.00 from my bank account

In 2002 I signed a 2 year contract with Dish, at the end of which we owned the equipment. Prior to the end of the contract period I moved to care for a sick parent, so my new tenant kept and paid the service.

No new contract was ever signed. I woke this morning Jan. 2006 to discover that they had raided my bank account Apparently he missed 2 payments.

I am still primary on this account and receive the bills, but was not paying attention. There was never a request for return of any equipment or any demand for an additional payment. These thieves actually overdrew my account. After a full day on the phone, calling and recalling, fielding numerous denials of wrongdoing, finally reached a supervisor who admitted they screwed up.

I have some common problems right now, small business, bad time of year, no money, business insurance and 2 health certificates, food business (already overdue), but I could still pull it off (if I wasn't overdrawn at the bank). So after admitting they were wrong, and I explained my situation. They will be refunding my money when they get around to it, and I'll get it when I get it.

I don't suppose there is any way to bill them for my charges or late fees, or business I will not have in a few days. How about charging them with theft? Is there truly nothing people can do? I guess I should feel grateful that they said I'd get it back eventually, but I'm so angry, the timing here could cost me a 13 year business, pretty sad huh. Please everyone change those card #s new.
