Ripoff via online/never sent items purchased and paid for

On 2 separate occassions I made purchases of military memorabilia and surplus items like medals, etc., from the VetPinMan stores/kiosks located at VA hospitals in the state of Massachusetts. The salesman [owner] provided business cards to myself and some of my veteran friends who then visited the website to make further purchases, since the stores/kiosks were not always at these locations.

After making the purchases from the web-store and paying for the items, no items were ever shipped. On 2 different occassions I experienced the same event after having made purchases online (from the VetPinMan). After numerous attempts at contacting the site, over 1 year ago a single responce was returned stating that the items purchased would be immediately sent, but I still never received such items and neither did the people I knew who made purchases from the website. Nearly 18 months have now passed and no further contact has been made, despite the constant emails and calls to a telephone number which is no longer in service.

Although I have now given up, I've notified the Better Business Bureau and I also wish to notify all potential customers to beware of military memorabilia purchases they might want to make from that site. To veterans, medals they received in combat and while on duty hold a significant meaning (sentimental as well as a reminder of honor, courage, patriotism). When such medals, patches and other awards, etc. Are lost to (damage), time or even stolen, many try their best to replace them as soon as possible and with whom they believe would be the most credible source available. Sometimes it's not as credible a source as we may think. And the VetPinMan has turned out to be one of those sites that lacks professionalism, responsibility and reliability...
