Ripoff

Went to freecreditreport.com. Key word FREE. Put in my information, got my credit report. There was an option for one free report, a more detailed report for a fee, and some 3 in 1 report for a fee. Declined all but the one for free.

A couple of months later, suddely on my credit card I saw a fee of $12 from CIC Triple Advantage. Went online and checked them out, found the rip off report site, and determined that I was now paying membership fees for a "free" service. So I decided to cancel ASAP.

Unfortuately, I called the given number, and an alternate number I found online. Both numbers had only recorded messages saying they were closed. The recorded message went on to leave the business hours (which they were CLOSED DURING everytime I called). So, I sent an email to cancel my supscritption. Luckily that was responded to, so if I get another charge, I will be contacting my credit card company with their email saying I was no longer a member as proof.

Just bad business. I re-checked their site. They've now got listed the deal about the free trial then being charged after 30 days up front, but that WAS NOT THERE when I (and apparently a bunch of others) went there. It simply stated get one free report (pay if you want extras or a more detailed one). Just ridiculous. I can't believe they're still in business.
