Ripoff and dishonest practices

I got a letter from this company about a debt collection and offering me a credit card for paying the debt. They sent this letter toan address where I have some mails forwarded. I was surprised as I never had any unpaid debt gone to collection agency.

The representative scared me about destroying my credit report and possible arrest. He asked my bank account number and SSN. I asked them to send me a letter at my correct address so that I can see the bill.

Weeks later I found out that they took money from my bank account!!! I called them repeatedly asking for a letter explaining the bill but never got any letter from them and I checked my credit report and that unpaid bill still showed delinquent.

Please tell me what I can do to get the money or have the credit report showing that bill was paid.
