Likes Line, Keeping Shipment In Hostage In Texas Warehouse Received my shipment, NEVER contacted me, Then billed me for Storage charges and Keeping it Hostage, Ripoff

My forwarding agent, ALLSHIP sent my goods from France on 9/17/05. My shipment arrived in Houston (unknown to me) on October 2 where it sat accruing port charges. No one from CP Ship tried to contact me by mail (they didn't have my phone number, but they did have my home address - which is on the Billof Lading).

My calls to CP Ship began on October 21 when I was given Janice Gardner's name and number as a contact. She never called me back and on November 11 after repeatedly trying to leave her messages, I got notice that my shipment had been transferred to St George's Warehouse, where they threatened to auction it or destroy it if I didn't pay the outstanding storage fees (almost $5000).

The only way I was able to contact CP ship (because Janice Gardner never called me back), was by looking up their name on the internet and calling the central office in England, who gave me a number in Long Beach. They then gave me a number in Florida.in all I feel that this scam has gone on too long and I don't have the money to get my children's stuff. Help!
