Consumer fraud ripoff CT

I received an offer saying that I could pick up 3 magazines of my choice and that I would pay only $2.00 per year for the magazines.

I was charged $6.00 on my credit card.

Later, I found that I was charged an additional $45.00 on my credit card!

This was ridiculous. When I tried contacting the 1-800 number as obtained from my credit card statement, all I receive is an automated response.

What am I supposed to do?
