On 3/11/05 I purchased one male puppy from the "k" litter from Cindy Hiemenz of Fenwald Kennels in WonderLake, Illinois for $2300.00 plus tax. The sire to my pup is Isko com Klebinger Schloss and the Dam is Gabriala von Fenwald. As in the contract we both signed, I was to recieve AKC papers for my pup. At the time of purchase she explained to me that due to a mix up his papers would be delayed a short while maybe a month or two. Knowing this I still agreed to purchase and take posession of the pup.

Since then I've continually asked Ms. Hiemenz about my papers and have been given a basket of excuses. This is not my first purchase of a registered AKC German Shepherd. While I DO NOT consider myself an expert I would not consider myself a novice by no means.

As the months pass, and the excuses mount, I began to investigate why I have not gotten my contractually agreed upon papers. #1 The Dam of Litter "k", "Gabriella" is not registered with the AKC. Obvious reason to this being that the Dam to "Gabriella", "Imke vom Haus Hera" is not registered with the AKC. Reason being I don't know.

I have heard MANY stories of why neither Gabriella nor Imke will never never be registered with the AKC but at this time I have no actual proof. But there is proof that neither of the above mentioned Dams are not registered, just call the AKC, that is TRUTH.

In the dually signed contract it states, quote, "We absolutely guarantee that all pups will receive their papers", I have asked when many more time than I can remember.

I have no intention of ever breeding my dog, yes I did tell her that I intended the pup to be a family pet with possibilities of obidience, agility, SAR etc. It does not matter what I told her I wanted to use the dog for. What does matter is that we have a written contract that I fufilled by doing my part of paying Ms. Hiemenz $2300.00 plus tax for the dog with the promise of AKC papers. Maybe I just want to frame the AKC papers like I have done for my other German Shepherds and hang them on the wall.

Bottom line. I have contacted Ms. Hiemenz by phone and email many times asking about the papers. I get nothing but excuses. I understand that people are busy, but I also understand that I paid and EXTREME amount of money for a so called soon to be eligible AKC registered puppy. The AKC registration is part of the reason that you would pay so much money for a dog.

The can never get a straight answer from Cindy. She claims she is too busy and she will get around to it sooner or later. I have missed opportunities to show my pup in AKC shows (just as a hobby, something to do for fun), but I can't because I don't have what I have been promised from day 1.

I have NO complaints otherwise. The dog is great. We love him to death. But if I wanted a dog without AKC papers I could of spent 1/3 of what I paid for him or less and gotten an unregisterable puppy, just like the one that I got now that I paid full price for plus tax.

I'm not in any way telling you not to buy a dog from Cindy, I think she produces wonderful dogs. Just make sure before you pay and fall in love with your puppy that you have your AKC papers in your hand before you leave her premises.
