RIPOFF treated security deposit as blank checkbook stole money

Lavinder deducted an excessive amount of money, $250, from our security deposit on the house we were renting through them, for mowing. They had the lawn mowed twice when it only needed a single mowing, and charged us for both passes.

Furthermore, they ignored a verbal agreement I had made with them whereby they would contact me before having the lawn mowed if the cost of the mowing was going to be in excess of $100; they made no such contact, and spent $250 of our money.

We were not contacted to participate in the walkthrough of the house after we vacated it, as provided in our lease. We left the house in "immaculate" condition (the words of Ms. Dalton herself) when we vacated it.

The mowing deduction from our security deposit was excessive and we feel we are entitled to a partial refund of $125, the cost of the unnecessary second mowing.
