Inc overcharged us. Bait and switch! Exploitative, colossal rip off! Greedy fraud!

I contacted, on the first of July, Grasseaters lawn care, and spoke to Bryan, the owner. He came to my residence, examined my lawn, and said that it would be about three hours worth of work, total, to clean it up, plus mowing. He explained that his initial cost was expensive, but that I paid only for the man hours used.

After spending about two hours and forty minutes on the front section of my house, including mowing, he then informed me that his crew had to leave, but that they would be back to finish the rear of my house (which is much less work), shortly. A week later, his crew returned, and spent less than an hour. While the work was acceptable for a normal lawn service, there were quite a few things that they had left undone in light of their nearly $100 per hour fees. I informed them that I wished these things corrected, but was ignored.

Approximately one week after that, I received an unpleasant phone call from someone in his organization, about, "My outstanding debt." I explained to them that I hadn't received an invoice, and that I was unhappy with their work, but that in any case, I hadn't received an invoice. The following morning, at a little past 7, my phone began ringing. They wanted to know "When they were going to get paid". I gently explained to them that I hadn't received an invoice, and to please not call before 9.

At 10, someone walked into my backyard, while another person knocked on my front door, handed me an invoice for twice what was initially agreed upon, and demanded that I pay him right then. When I reviewed the invoice, I called Bryan, the initial contact, to explain to him that I thought it excessive. He responded by calling me a deadbeat, and told me he would put a mechanic's lein on my house. I told him I would contact the BBB, and an attorney. He said, "You just go ahead and do that". Now, I'm telling everyone I can find that if you use these people, be prepared to pay twice what you are quoted, then harassed at all hours. I don't even know what these dirtbags are going to do next, however, but I'm sure it won't be fun.
