Ripoff dishonest fraudulent billing

Very disapointed in the way I was sold the "Sensible Solution"
package.

I was sold on the fact that it would reduce my monthly phone bill. I also had the opertunity to switch to Mci for a little less, but thought I would be a loyal customer and stay with ameritech.

I was told that my phone service would drop from around $60.00 To $70.00 a month to $39.95 plus tax. NOT ONCE was I told that my first months bill would be over $100.00.

This is false and misleading! When I called to complain about my bill, I was told that it was because I had changed in the middle of the month and I should have been told about this.

I explained that I was not and the response that I received was that they always tell the customer this and there was nothing they could do fo me.

I then asked to speak to a supervisor and they said that there was none to speak to. They did say that one would call me within 48 hours, but they did not.

When my service was installed I received a letter explaining the services and was instructed to call if there were any problems. This letter came the day before my first bill was received.

This does not seem to be very much time to review the information received in the first letter does it? Why would you have your telemarketers call customers and sell them on
a way to reduce their telephone bills, and then turn around and almost double their bill with the first month service?

They tried to explain that you have to pay a month in advance. Why is it then that I had to pay for a month of my
old service, and a month of my new service in the same month? Does this not seem like double dipping? Why is it also that you do not provide a PERSON for me to call that can resolve this situation?

After all of this it appears that my phone bill will be about $10.00 a month less, but that does not count for the extra $50.00 I had to spend the first month.
