Paid over $1100.00, never heard from them again, fraudulant company, phone disconnected, office empty

I spent over $1100.00 for this company to represent 4 of my pets. I was told that all of my pets would be chosen for an upcoming calendar job after they had their headshots done. After that, a promise that auditions and talent work would be plentiful and practically a sure thing, I would definately receive my initial investment back in full and then some. They also informed me the only method of payment was cash, so I ran to the bank and withdrew the money that same day.

When I didn't hear a word about the initial calendar job I became suspicious. I called and requested proof that the agency was actually submitting my pets for talent work. I was told that to provide proof of that nature it would cost me and additional $200.00. This stipulation was never made known to me and was NOT in the contract or handbook as a requirment for clients.

When I refused to pay this fee and continued to insist on proof I was mailed a one line letter stating "If you continue to make this request we have the right to cancel your contract"

I requested in writing a refund in full as I felt the company misrepresented itself as well as never contacting me regarding the status of my pets work potential. I heard nothing from them at all since our first meeting.

The BBB revoked their membership, and the contact information provided is bogus. The company is now under new ownership and the new owner doesn't provide a number. The original contact phone number has been disconnected and the office is now empty.

What a sucker I was. I remember telling the signing agent that "I'm not a rich woman but I believe that what you are telling me is true, that my pets are special and will definatly get work, and hey you are a member of the BBB so I have to trust you."
