Protection you CANNOT count on. Anything but peace of mind when you use Wynn's. Don't waste your money with Wynn's ripoff

I have bought 2 Wynn's warranties. On my first vehicle, thankfully I never needed it to use it. On the second I wasn't so fortunate. Wynns paid for some of the initial repairs on my second contract but when I really needed them they left me high and dry.

I was traveling through Canada (where they cover) 1,700 miles from home on a family vacation when my engine threw a bearing and ruined the engine. The mechanic told me I needed a new engine, the assessor whom Wynns contracted agreed with the mechanic and took some digital photos. I even called my mechanic at home and described the situation and he agreed with the original mechanic's and the assessor's assesment.

Originally Wynns was going to pay a portion of the replacement costs but whey they received the photos they said the photos didn't show what they needed too dispite what the assessor said in his report.By this time I had rented a car and driven my family back home because I couldn't afford hotel fees while Wynns were making up thier minds on how to rip me off. I asked them to send their assessor back for more and better photos and they told me they only pay for him to go to the mechanic once. They said I would have to pay an extra $180 for the assessor to go back.

They ended up reducing what they were originally willing to pay by $1,200. I ended up having to pay that portion along with what they said I would have to pay on the engine plus some of the other extra like winterization that my original engine had because I live in Alaska. My car had 90,000 miles when this happend. I have kept records of all the maintenance done to show that the car was properly maintained the entire time we have owned the vehicle.

Wynns did not care about this and talked as if they didn't need to cover the engine fully because it only had 10,000 miles left on the warranty. I don't care if it only had 1 mile left. I paid for a warranty to 100,000 miles, too bad they don't cover your car like they say they will. It had been a great vacation until I had to deal with Wynns.
