Promotional Scam RIPOFF

A warning to other consumers regarding promotions through Comcast. We were recently offered a $16.99 promotion ending July 31 for Free HBO and Cable w/DVR for 18 months. Wow we thought! That's a great deal! We'll give it a shot.

Like idiots we signed up and. Yep, you guessed it folks, the bill comes and it's $46.99 a month!

Here's the kicker. We are told by Comcast's rep that they "never offered a promotion of this sort" That's it!!! End of story. It seems we're liars, so screw us, we're paying the $46.99 a month rain or shine!!!

So look out folks! There's a mad mailman out there somewhere printing up false coupons from Comcast and mailing them to unsuspecting customers (oops! - make that victims). Our neighbors got them too - so it must be a hell of printing operation he's got going. (That's sarcasm in case anyone is wondering.)

What's a consumer to do? After the very frustrating phone call, we sent a complaint to Comcast via email. We all know where that's going to get us— absolutely nowhere.
