Ripoff, long distance fraud through computer diale

A couple of months ago I received my phone bill and found a charge to One Call Communications for a 4-minute call and was charged $11.14. I spoke to my phone company and they told me it was made through a computer and they would remove the charges from their bill but I would still may owe One Call for the amount.

A couple days ago I rec'd a bill from One Call stating that I still owed them $11.14. I tried calling but could not get through to the number they listed. I did write them a letter but I am awaiting a reply.

The bottom line is that I never made a call through this company, as a matter of fact I have never made a call through my computer (except to link to a dial up provider for internet). This is a complete scam and I think it is insane that they want to charge me for something I never did.

In fact, how can they accept long distance from me when I NEVER signed up for their service. I would like to hear if anyone else had this same problem so we can possibly stop this company. I have already read one similar report on this website dated 8/4/05, so I'm sure there has to be more out there.
