I hired Locaters Plus who is a people search company to locate my birth mother. THey sent me a contract to sign and I agreed to their payment terms which was a total of $475.00. Half of whih was due with the application, and then half after they located her. I sent them a check and was in contact with them over a period of 5 months.in the sixth month after signing the contract with them, I contacted them only to find that their phone number had been disconnected, their website had been shut down, and I have never heard from them again. They never refunded my money prior to the company disapearing.
