I am a small business owner in the Tidewater area of Virginia. I have ADT in four of my locations. After having my home broken into (which also has ADT) ADT suggested I purchase the cellular backup system (my phone line had been cut) I set it up in all my stores.

I had a break in on 7-8-05, the culprits cut my phone line and cleaned out my store. The cellular backup did not work. I called ADT and they said they could send out a tech and but it would cost me 130 dollars plus 25 per hour.

After I flipped my lid the offered to waive the charge and sent the tech out. The tech ruled that the backup system was installed improperly so it didnt work when the line was cut. After some thought I called ADT back and informed them that my other cellular backups were installed by the same tech and that they were probably installed wrong too.

ADT refused to send a tech to check my other locations. I was especially concerned abt one of my locations because it is very close to the one that was victimized. They gave me the runaround and finally refused to stand behind their product. They said if I wanted them to come out they would have to charge me the 130 dollar fee.

A fee? After they dropped the ball and cost me thousands of dollars? I think not! I will be calling my attorney on Monday to see what recourse I may have!!! If any one has any suggestions please respond to this report
