Ripoff, dishonest

Gary called from ShopCV to tell me about all the wonderful things they had to offer at discount prices. Then he told me about really good discounts on printer ink and supplies. I asked for a specific printer, Gary's response was that he was not sure and talked me into a trial membership.

He indicated that I could sign on and look around to see if my ink was included, if not I could simply call and cancel my membership for a FULL refund of the 14.95 membership. He also indicated that I would be happy with all the other items offered and that I would receive a valuable CD with 50 programs on it and a $20.00 gift certificate to use for my first order.

They were 50 sharware, freeware and demo programs which I was charged an additional $5.00 for shipping (according to Gary "yours to keep if you cancel, just for trying the service"). Stuff I could download for no cost off the internet.

I waited for the information, received a useless "CD" of shareware programs, signed on and guess what... No ink for my printer. All the other items were old versions of software or discounts off the suggested retail price. Items that you could get for the same price, less, or very little more, at Wal Mart, Kmart etc.

I called several times to get a refund, never spoke with anyone. They did call back and left me voice mail that everything was taken care of. I was very impressed. However, I waited and waited no credit on my credit card.

I finally talked to Tracey today, she indicated for a refund I must send back the CD of useless shareware programs the Gary indicated was my gift to keep even if I canceled. I made the mistake of telling her that the person I spoke with did not mention anything about returning the CD. She immediately told me only two people worked there and that I was lying, they always tell customers to return the useless CD.

I then tried to apologize for my mistake of telling her I was not told to return the CD by the person who called because I never talked to them. She insisted that I was lying and continued to harp on the fact that I had made a mistake. To be honest I have been trying for so long now to get a refund that I forgot!!!

I informed Tracey that had they left that information in the message for me to return the CD that I would have and that at this point I am not sure where it is. She insisted that I did not have to lie to her... Again I apologized and asked what we could do if I did not have the "Useless CD of 50 shareware, freeware and demo programs", which I could have downloaded from the internet for FREE! She said "if I buy a T-shirt and throw it away I can not get a refund". I tried again to reason with her and she started talking about me lying again... And SHE HUNG UP ON ME!

The sales person gave me an 800 number if I needed to reach him, the number rings to Tracey, who I spoke with. I called back and asked her to let me speak to Gary, she informed me that she could not do that, I could not call him, she could not transfer me etc... She did offer to "try" and have him give me a call... I won't hold my breath.

If you have $20 dollars to throw away please give me a call, I am sure that I could send you a useless CD and point you to some rip-off websites where you can waste your money... They claim they have many satisfied customers, obviously they don't realize they are being ripped off! Stay away from this company!!!
