Phone Bill Charge Scam Ripoff

In early May a fast talking gentleman got on the phone and starting talking about a new local business directory that was free of charge.

While I tried my best to see it coming, the gentleman from local biz usa.com called and must of told me 10 times this was a free service to us and we would not be charged anything for our company being listed. He made it seem as if he just needed to fill up his directory to maybe sell it to someone else or make money in another manner besides charge us.

Again this gentleman intentionaly spoke very fast and somewhere I am sure only once, told that this was a trial period and that we would be billed for the service. As skepitcal as I was, I can say that I never heard a price and I was totally duped.

Luckily I caught this billing which is nicely tucked in the back of our local phone bill after the first billing and only lost $38.10.

I should of hung up the phone when they called. Please be careful of this scam.
