Ripped Me Off Hardcore! Ripoff Salt Lake City Utah

Here's the breakdown. I had a credit limit of $3500 with Discover. After a few transactions, I paid it off in full. Then had a few more transactions and was soon after hospitalized. I was out of work for 7 months (from March 16 to Sept. and had purchased the "Account Guard" Program previous to my accident. Actually I remember sending it in early Feb.

By some strange coincidence, Discover says that they didn't receive my application for account guard until Late March; how convenient for them. I played the call this guy, call that guy game for about 3 months, and gave up.

Meanwhile my bill had acquired over the time into a monstrous $3900. Discover contacted me and told me that they wanted to make a deal to "get this account paid off quickly and easily". So I said, ok, let's try and repair that credit score. The deal was I would pay $100 dollars a month, until the balance reached its new altered balance of $2900 (which they changed without telling me within the course of a year).

When I finally would reach the 2900, I would continue with 100 dollars a month until paid off. Well that sounds good right, yea well I should have known. I paid the 100 a month for close to 6 months, and by some strange mathmatics, my new balance was 4100. Strange right? Then they contact me again and demand immediate payment for the late payments, when the in fact were taking in directly out of my account.

Either way, they were charging me 125 week in late/and overlimit fees. I contacted them, and supposedly there was no record of it. My score is so bad now, I can't even take credit for a good deed. (that's supposed to be a joke, I apologize, I may have failed miserably). Is there any way out of this friggin mess? I mean I royally got screwed. If it's of any matter, the customer service rep I spoke with to set up the original 100 a month deal was Janice.

Please help, I don't know what to do and I have a child coming soon, and need all the help I can get.
