Another interest rate hike of 22%

Here is another rate hike with an excellent history of payment. No late payments ever on any accounts on my credit report. Never over the balance. Got a new mortgage however and My credit fell to 580 so Discover thought it would be a good time to try to squeeze some money out of me. I have done about $40,000 in purchase in the last year alone with Discover.

I have a balance of about $7000 which Ive paid over $33,000 to them in the last year. They like to do this just before the Holiday season. But guess what I will have them paid off conservativly in 3 months then they can go straight to hell. I never recieved the letter stating they were going to raise the rate. I have recieved promotional checks for balance transfers.

I even recieved in the mail an offer for a new card with a zero percent promo pre approved. They wont let me have the new card when they seen I already had it. Something is really wrong with this company and I am glad there are people like the ones at this site getting the word out. If there is anything I can do to keep people from getting screwed from discover let me know. I would like to organize something with some good examples of how they are ripping people off and post them on a full page in a national newspaper or something. So many people are getting ripped off in to debt by these guys. I imagine there are some people out there that are trapped in debt by discover card. Discover Card is basicly loan sharking and how the goverment lets them do it is beyond me.
