Last night, I fell for a scam. Timelife advertized 30 Honky Tonk Heros, a disk for $14.95 shipping. I called the number, 1-800-367-2633 which turned out to be automated. I answered the question and gave my credit card number etc.
Then, a recording informed me that I would be sent a disk every month, the cost of $19.99 added to the card number that I had indicated. I was told I could send back (at my expense) if I didn't want it.
There was no way at this point that I could tell the recording that I didn't want that. The recording then thanked me for my business and hung up. Is this legal?
