White County Cable Television
Dial-up speeds and constantly dropped connections for $45.00 a month ripoff

White county cable television sells "high-speed" internet services from a company called Cablelynx. Cablelynx is a great company with great support, don't get me wrong. It all comes down to the Cable television company who owns the cabling through the city.
I've complained of dial-up speeds (Downloads 10kbps or less) over the past two months where i'm paying $55.00 per month (this is the non-contract price, yearly committment price is $45.00 per month) for speeds that are comparable to 64k ISDN. My package calls for a maximum download rate of 3.0mbps. I've not seen the speeds.
After numerous calls to their support line, the ISP transferring me to their tier two support, three visits from a "tech" (first one was rather rude and insisted that we don't know anything about the service) the second being a hippy asking if I had any spare parts, promising to return the following day to do a drop so that I might get my purchased rates, the third, not even waiting for me to answer the door then leaving.
I am thoroughly unhappy with the quality of service we are recieving. White County Cable, Hire someone that knows what they're doing, and make sure that when they promise a service, that the customer gets it. Thank you.
