Ripped up and Ripped off!

2/2/05 I took a silk blouse in to be dry-cleaned. I told the clerk at the counter that I needed the blouse back the next day to wear to a corporate event that I was attending. The blouse had two stains (1 on the arm & 1 on the lower back edge). I laid the blouse out and opened on the counter. The clerk then took the blouse and I left.
2/3/05 I picked up the blouse from the cleaners.

Because I was stuck in traffic and running late, Mary met me at the door, I paid $6.00 on a bill that was $4.75, picked up my cleaning and got back into the car and rode off. While in the car, I unwrapped the blouse to put it on, I noticed that there was a hole (the size of a pencil) in the lower back of the blouse as well as a brand new stain on the inside front of the shirt. I immediately called the cleaners from my cell phone to advise them. Not only would she help me; she told me to call back on Saturday.

2/5/05 I called to speak with the owner and/or manager. The person who answered the phone told me that the owner wasn't in yet and then accused me of putting the hole in the blouse. When I again asked for the owner, she hung up the phone. I called back later in the day again requesting to speak to the owner, a man answered the phone. I was again told that the owner hadn't come in. When I asked to speak to the manager, he said that SHE wasn't in and he hung up the phone.

2/7/05 I called again to get the name of the owner and manager. I spoke with Mary again who said AGAIN that the owner only comes in on Saturdays. She said she doesn't see him because she doesn't work on Saturdays. When I asked for his name again, she said she doesn't see him on the Saturdays that she works. I asked for the owner's name again, to which she responded that she didn't have that information.in disbelief I asked her again, to which she finally confessed that she was told not to give out that information. I asked for the manager's name and she said there is no manager.
